August 1970. Vietnam. Kham Duc Air Base. Photo by Christopher Jensen. This C-130 Hercules was damaged by enemy small arms fire during landing in May 1968. After landing, control problems developed, the aircraft veered off the runway, and at the end of its landing roll, it crashed into a helicopter. No crew members were injured, and there were no passengers. Since the aircraft could not be repaired locally, it was destroyed during the evacuation of the base in 1968.

August 13, 1970. Linda Kasabian was brought to the Los Angeles courthouse where the Manson Family trial was taking place. Kasabian, who was not directly involved in the murders, was granted immunity from prosecution in exchange for testimony against Manson and other members of the Family. Kasabian now lives in Washington state and has four children.
