Lixiang showed off the updated interior of its most affordable hybrid crossover (3 photos)
Chinese company Lixiang (aka Li Auto) has begun preparations for the official premiere of the upgraded version of its L6 crossover—the most compact and affordable hybrid. Judging by the published interior photos, the model will be reimagined in the same spirit as the larger L8 and L9. It was previously reported that the company would not limit itself to cosmetic changes: the L6 is expected to be more technologically advanced and offer a longer range. There is one week left before the start of sales in China.
The Lixiang L6's interior architecture remains largely unchanged, but the crossover's interior has been significantly improved in detail. For example, the L6 received a new ultra-wide display that will serve as the central and passenger screens, and the redesigned steering wheel has been stripped of its miniature instrument cluster. The door panels, center console, and air vents have been redesigned. Higher-quality trim materials and a sound system are promised.
Technologically, the crossover should receive more powerful hardware for media services and a driver assistance system, the hardware of which should be expanded with new sensors. In top-end trims, the L6's "autopilot" capabilities should be comparable to the flagship L9.
In addition to the interior, the first official photo of the crossover's exterior has been released, although it doesn't reveal any details. Its main purpose is to showcase a new exterior color called Dune Yellow.
