Delicious yet sad: dinner made from dead aquarium fish
In the Chinese city of Wuxi, an aquarium that had served a man for about five years burst, causing him to lose the majority of his collection of rare fish. The owner handed over some of the dead fish to a restaurant, where they were cooked and served.
Rare fish worth $44,000 became a gourmet dinner after their owner's aquarium burst.
A man from Wuxi, China, lost most of his collection when his aquarium—which had been in use for five years—suddenly shattered; water and fish spilled out across his home. Only a golden-red arowana, a black-and-white pearl stingray, and three tiger fish were saved.
Instead of dwelling on the loss, the owner sent two of the dead fish to a restaurant and invited friends over for dinner. A friend of the owner explained that they have long been aquarium enthusiasts, so they took the incident in stride. The man plans to restock the aquarium with new fish in the future.
