Fish house in India (5 photos)
The fish-shaped building, informally dubbed the "Fish Building," serves as the regional office of the National Fisheries Development Board and is located near Hyderabad, India. The four-story structure was officially opened in April 2012 and, according to a release, was inspired by Frank Gehry's monumental "Fish" sculpture in Barcelona, completed in 1992. The building is clad in stainless steel panels and, with the exception of its central core, is raised entirely off the ground on a light blue pylon. At night, it is illuminated by blue-violet floodlights, creating the effect of a giant fish swimming through Hyderabad.
