In the mountains of Japan's Gifu Prefecture, there's a pond that attracts many tourists every year. It's as if it stepped straight out of a Claude Monet painting.
Japan has a real-life "Monet's Pond"—Monet's Pond, located in Gifu Prefecture.
It's famous for its resemblance to Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" series: crystal-clear water, koi carp, and blooming water lilies create a stunning landscape that looks like a living painting.
The water lilies bloom here from May to October, with the most picturesque period being June and July.
