The incident occurred around 3:45 PM in a bay near Cennet Island. The crew discovered the emergency and steered the boat toward shore. However, the vessel began taking on water, and the decision was made to evacuate all passengers to nearby boats and launches also in the bay.
Coastguard teams participated in the evacuation. After rescuing everyone on board, the vessel sank completely. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, the agency reports.
