A spy drama has unfolded in Norway, with a public restroom as the main character.

The country's authorities have made the decisive decision to close the famous designer restroom located in the picturesque Bukkescherka recreation area on Andøya Island.

This facility has become famous worldwide not only for its futuristic architecture but also for its price tag. Norwegian taxpayers once contributed a modest $2.17 million to the construction of this marvel of public hygiene.

Until recently, this toilet proudly held the unofficial title of "the restroom with the most beautiful view in Norway." While sitting on the toilet, tourists could gaze out through the huge panoramic windows at the rugged Scandinavian landscape, the endless ocean, and majestic cliffs.

However, Norwegian military and intelligence officials, taking a closer look at the panorama, suddenly realized something terrifying. Right from the windows of this luxurious toilet, a perfect view of the secret strategic airbase of Andøya opens before their eyes.

Military analysts immediately modeled a nightmare scenario: a hypothetical "foreign spy" enters the building disguised as an ordinary tourist, goes about his business, and simultaneously zooms in on the runway, capturing the movements of secret fighter jets.

Ultimately, national security considerations trumped common sense and aesthetics. The doors of the $2 million designer establishment were boarded up, leaving tourists alone with the harsh Norwegian wilderness.

The security services sat inside, looked out the panoramic window, and realized it offered a perfect view of the entire military airbase. To be on the safe side, they closed the shop and sealed it.

Couldn't they have simply installed $20 mirrored window tint film on the windows for that kind of money instead of destroying the entire tourist attraction?

While Norwegian security services celebrate their victory over potential toilet spies, travelers to Andøya Island now have to wait until the nearest gas station—or hope the bushes around the closed architectural masterpiece aren't visible from satellites.
