A hungry Nile crocodile entered a hotel restaurant in Zimbabwe, frightening tourists. The predator decided to head toward the kitchen and settled on the serving counter.
The incident occurred on April 17. The 3.6-meter-long reptile reportedly entered the Amulonga restaurant at the Pride Khumbula Hotel. The hotel noted that due to the proximity to wildlife, staff are trained in the proper handling of animals.
Nevertheless, hotel guests were left quite frightened. The footage shows the crocodile slowly crawling across the floor and then climbing onto the food counter.
It remained motionless for a moment, then slid back down and settled on one of the furniture pieces.
Experts from the African Parks and Wildlife Authority soon arrived on the scene, managed to catch the reptile in the pool, and safely transported it to the Zambezi River, where it was subsequently released. ![]()
