Skidmore, Owings & Merrill has received planning permission for 175 Park Avenue in New York City. The tower, approximately 480 meters tall and 95 stories tall, will be one of the tallest buildings in Manhattan. The project will be located next to Grand Central Terminal and replace the existing Grand Hyatt building, combining office space and a hotel. The new tower is already being called one of the largest urban transformations of the Midtown area in decades. The project reinforces the trend of supertall, mixed-use developments in Central New York City.
