A vigilant security guard working at a Tesco store in Burnley, England, prevented a theft.
The security guard spotted a suspicious man and followed him out, demanding to see the contents of his backpack. The stranger refused. The guard tugged at the backpack, but the owner held on tightly. The tug-of-war was brief and ended in a surprising way: packages of beef steaks spilled from the backpack onto the floor.
Some even pitied the thief, who quickly fled the store, arguing that he must have been hungry. Many argue with these well-wisher types, arguing that theft is still a crime, and that a hungry person would have stolen something simpler and cheaper than beef steaks.
