A British man stole a woman's bag of Fabergé eggs.
The theft occurred at the Dog and Duck pub in Soho. According to police, the man first attempted to steal another patron's backpack, then noticed a Givenchy bag left on the floor near the bar by Craft Irish Whiskey executive Rosie Dawson.
CCTV footage shows the thief calmly exiting the establishment and discreetly taking the bag. Inside were rare watches and Fabergé eggs, as well as the victim's laptop, wallet, and personal belongings.
After the theft, Conticello used Dawson's bank cards to purchase drinks and cigarettes at nearby stores. Police say the precious set has still not been found, and the search is ongoing.
It took over a year for the suspect to be apprehended. After the crime, he fled to Ireland, where he used a false name and forged documents. Ultimately, he was detained in Belfast on another matter and then transferred to London.
