A half marathon was held in China, where humanoid robots competed alongside humans. Participants moved along parallel tracks to avoid collisions.
The race, which attracted 12,000 people and over 300 robots, took place in Beijing. However, not all androids made it to the finish line.
Robots burned, fell, crashed into barriers, simply shut down, and even shattered. Some had to be carried off on stretchers.
Honor's "Lightning" robot, the champion remote-controlled android, reached the finish line in 48 minutes and 19 seconds. It broke the human world record despite falling just a hundred meters from the finish line.
A humanoid robot with autonomous navigation from another Honor team took first place in the "autonomous" team. He completed the distance in approximately 50 minutes and 15 seconds.
Robots have improved significantly since last year. In 2025, the best time for androids was 2 hours and 40 minutes.
