An Old Lamborghini Was Paid Almost Like a New One (12 photos)
A 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago supercar with over 32,000 kilometers on the odometer was sold at the Bring a Trailer auction. This model itself isn't considered collectible due to its relative mass production. However, this particular example changed hands for $344,000, which is comparable to the price of a new Lamborghini Temerario. The supercar had undergone a major overhaul at the renowned Japanese tuner Liberty Walks. 
The supercar was originally intended for the US market, but in 2012 it was shipped to Japan, where it found its way to tuners. Liberty Walks has completely redesigned the coupe's appearance. The front end has been redesigned with a new bumper, hood, and lighting, the wheel arches have been noticeably widened and equipped with vents, and an additional air intake has been added to the roof.
The rear is adorned with an impressive rear wing, supported by the fenders, and a custom diffuser. Alternative Rohana wheels, designed by Liberty Walks, are installed. The interior is enhanced only by a new Pioneer Carrozzeria media system and a digital rearview mirror, but the suspension now features air springs, allowing the supercar to "lie" on the asphalt.
The Lamborghini Murcielago was factory-equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine producing up to 670 horsepower, but the Liberty Walks project was based on one of the supercar's entry-level trim levels, with a 640-horsepower V12 version.
