Another chair race took place in Japan
In Japan, men and women participate in chair racing. Teams of several people don helmets, sit on office chairs with wheels, and compete in races.
The ISU-1 Grand Prix, or more simply, office chair racing, is a typical event for employees. Since 2010, office chairs have been transformed into racing cars: teams of several people don helmets, take to the "race track," and compete in races.
The idea came from Tsuyoshi Tahara, who wanted office workers to escape their boring offices and briefly relive their childhood. However, the competition requires real training: some participants train in the gym and race heavier chairs to strengthen their legs. The races attract not only office workers, but also police officers, firefighters, and military personnel.
