An Italian woman died under mountains of her parcels from marketplaces

Law enforcement officers were unable to open the door for a long time because something was blocking the entrance. It was later discovered that the woman was found buried under boxes and bags from online marketplaces.

The woman suffered from hoarding disorder—she constantly ordered goods but rarely unpacked anything. The apartment was literally crammed with bags and boxes, blocking the passageways. The cause of death was mechanical asphyxia—she suffocated under the weight of her belongings.
