After buying a house, the owners discovered dozens of cats living there (3 photos + 1 video)
Joshua Howell and his girlfriend, Faye, spent $70,000 and bought a small house in Ozona, Arkansas.
But when they received the keys, the new owners couldn't imagine they were moving into a house already occupied by numerous tenants. Joshua said they were shocked to discover that the house was home to 43 stray cats. The animals were certainly adorable, but their health and grooming left much to be desired.
The new owners of the house didn't kick out the cats or even surrender them to a shelter. Instead, they started a rescue fund and, by collecting donations, managed to nurse all of their charges back to health (nurture some, and even save the lives of others).
Joshua added that he and Faye dreamed of someday starting an animal rescue organization, but always thought it would be on their terms. Life and cats made their own adjustments to the plans.
