KitKat made a life-size Formula 1 car out of chocolate (1 photo)
Confectionery brand KitKat has created a life-size, handcrafted chocolate car. The edible Formula 1 car was unveiled at the famous Silverstone circuit to mark the launch of KitKat's partnership with the world's premier racing series.
The "chocolate car" is five meters long, two meters wide, and weighs 350 kilograms. It took 1,254 hours of handwork to create, under the supervision of master chocolatier Jen Lindsay-Clark. Naturally, the car is a one-off creation for promotional purposes. However, full-size KitKat chocolate cars will be available for sale in some countries.
The partnership extends beyond product demonstrations on racetracks. This includes fan engagement on social media, exclusive merchandise, in-store promotions, prize draws and limited edition products.
