A video was released online showing how a planned, controlled avalanche release is carried out. Snow is artificially released to prevent large avalanches and ensure the safety of ski resorts.

French pilots demonstrated how they "break" snow layers on Mont Blanc directly from a helicopter. This is how they intentionally trigger avalanches, preventing unexpected avalanches on the resorts.
