A hydraulic fault caused a construction cradle to catch fire. A man, trying to escape the flames, jumped out of the cradle and hung on to a safety line, constantly having to brush off burning hydraulic oil pouring from above.
Due to a control fault, his colleagues were unable to lower the boom, forcing the unfortunate man to cut the safety line and fall 7 meters.
The victim was hospitalized in serious condition with multiple burns and fractures.
