A schoolboy must jump rope almost 2 million times
A boy from China promised to jump rope as many times as his video received likes. The video ended up receiving nearly 1.8 million likes.
A seven-year-old boy named Tandou from Jiangsu Province became famous online after agreeing to jump rope as many times as his workout video received likes. He made this pact with his father. The video received over 1.8 million likes in just one day.
The boy lives with his grandparents and was visiting his parents in Linyi for the holidays. His father noticed his son was struggling with his school assignment—jumping rope 100 times a day—and decided to turn it into a motivational game for weight loss, even formalizing a "contract" with the boy.
When the number of likes surpassed 1 million, Tandou became confused. The man also didn't expect the video to be so popular, but he said he would monitor his son's activities for his health and to ensure he understood the value of his promises. Now, Tandou is jumping several hundred times a day. Two social media users volunteered to help the boy, and together they accumulate several thousand jumps daily.
