Little Punch was hugged tightly by an adult monkey

All month long, the internet has been following Punch, a baby macaque whose stuffed animal has become his mother. Punch was abandoned by his mother, so he was raised outside the troop, and joining the group proved difficult (one of the monkeys even beat him).

Zoo staff note that occasional displays of aggression among individual macaques are normal behavior.

Now, baby Punch has begun to integrate into the troop: he interacts more actively with his fellow monkeys, learns to groom their fur, and plays with them.
