During peak hours, up to 200 meteors can be seen per hour. These bright "shooting stars" are particles from the asteroid Phaethon, entering the Earth's atmosphere at about 35 kilometers per second. Their bright glow creates an unforgettable spectacle in the night sky and is one of the most impressive astronomical events of the year.
