A "guest from hell" flooded a hotel room with trash
In Changchun, China, a professional gamer rented a hotel room for over two years, where he lived and played his online games. This is common practice in China, where renting a hotel room long-term can be more convenient and even cheaper than renting an apartment. Plus, it comes with its own perks: you can order room service, have your laundry done, clean it, and so on.
So, the guy refused to allow his room to be cleaned on principle, and he practically never left it. And when he moved out, he surprised the staff.
The room was strewn with trash, sometimes waist-deep, sometimes even higher. The only way to get to the toilet was to use it.
It took a team of specialists three days to clean the room, including disinfection. The guy paid about $32 per night for the room.
