A developer who created one of the worst advertising formats ever created won the xAI hackathon. The ad is embedded into the film's plot using AI.
Neural networks analyze the video footage and select the "perfect" placement for the ad. This means that, right as you're watching, the characters on screen suddenly stop to show the product being advertised.
It's creepy and completely inappropriate. Some users even said they felt uneasy about these insertions.
