An exoskeleton from the game Death Stranding has been announced (4 photos + 1 video)
Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima continues to blur the lines between his games and reality.
Hideo Kojima announced a partnership with Dnsys. They are releasing a limited edition version of the Dnsys Z1 Pro exoskeleton—the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition. Yes, a real, functional exoskeleton, not some plastic cosplay toy.
The design was created by Yoji Shinkawa, the game's art director. The device adds 50% extra power to your stride, removes up to 200% of your body weight from your knees, and lasts over four hours on quick-change batteries. When moving vertically—climbing stairs or uphill—the user feels approximately 20 kilograms lighter.
The technology borrows elements from gaming. Battery indicators and intelligent gait control provide stability on stairs and uneven terrain. The system analyzes your movement and adapts support to the terrain. Dnsys claims that walking range increases significantly.
The design distributes the load and reduces fatigue during long walks. Ideal for hiking, delivering goods, and work requiring constant movement.
The release is scheduled for December 2nd. The device is a limited edition, and the price has not yet been disclosed.
