The Disney Imagineering team released a video of a man remotely moving a box with hand movements. Currently, this is only possible on a special surface called Holotile, developed by the company. It was created for VR games—a person can walk on it indefinitely, but never beyond the surface's boundaries.
Furthermore, the room is equipped with a system that tracks hand movements, creating the illusion of the Force.
