An American who attended an Indian festival experienced hell (6 photos + 1 video)
What do you think would happen if you angered 1.5 billion Indians? Well, one fame-hungry YouTuber tried it out for himself, and he didn't like the experience. 
Tyler Oliveira, a 25-year-old YouTuber, flew to India for the Gorehabba festival in the village of Gumatapura in Karnataka. There, people have been throwing dried cow dung cakes for centuries. It's a symbol of fertility, unity, and faith. Tyler donned a hazmat suit, filmed a teaser video titled "Inside an Indian Poop-Throwing Festival," and posted it on social media on October 23rd. The video has garnered 5 million views. He added the caption: "Happy Diwali! This has been the shittiest night of my life, pray I survive." And then it all began.
Indians went wild, with thousands of comments appearing under the video: "You're mocking our religion!", "Racist, you're making India look like a dump!", and so on. 
YouTube itself blocked the video due to massive reports. But you can still watch it here! ;-)
Tyler defended himself as best he could, claiming he was simply showing the truth, but his pathetic babble couldn't stop the haters. From YouTube, they seamlessly migrated to his social media, wreaking havoc not only on him but also on his family.
Unable to withstand the pressure, he posted screenshots: "Tens of thousands of Indians have made my life hell."
A week after that ill-fated video, he gave in.
"After much consideration, I have decided not to release the documentary. I underestimated India's strength. One against 1.5 billion is not a battle, it's suicide. Please leave my family alone."
In India, the news spread across the Times of India and Hindustan Times: "Foreigners, respect traditions, not sensationalism." The message was that the festival isn't exotic clickbait, but sacred, so there's no point in digging into other people's traditions. Don't touch the cow. Especially her heritage.
