The vacant Sheraton Mahwah Hotel, long awaiting demolition to make way for new commercial projects, was transformed into a real spectacle. Former NASA engineer and popular YouTuber Mark Rober was hired to carry out the detonation. His team planted explosives and connected them to an Angry Birds-style detonator: a shot from a giant slingshot activated the charge. After the shot, the enormous complex spectacularly collapsed in just 15 seconds.
