A dog named Xiaobai has been helping his owner collect discarded plastic bottles for five years. He wanders the streets, shops, and cafes, picking up bottles with his teeth and carrying them home.
According to his owner, Xiaobai understood the value of this work as a puppy—sometimes homeless people would give him meat in exchange for the plastic he collected. Today, his owner earns about $7 a day recycling plastic.
