How the Guy Who Thought He Was the Ugliest Person on YouTube Found the Love of His Life (5 photos + 1 video)
An internet love story.
Seven years ago, out of desperation, a Swedish guy named David started a YouTube channel called Never Give Up. He had trouble with girls and generally had no luck in life. To gain courage, he drank and began pouring out his heart in front of the camera, blaming his appearance for all his failures. He described in detail and demonstrated, using his face as an example, how he had been teased his entire life for his appearance.
Users appreciated the guy's sincerity. The simple video, filmed with a less-than-stellar camera, garnered 25 million views and 170,000 comments.
The channel wasn't wildly successful, but it found its audience. But most importantly, thanks to this video, David found his main audience. In 2022, Argentine Julia Martinsson watched his confession and left a comment: "Honestly, I think you're cute."
A year later, another comment appeared: "A year later, I became his wife."
At the end of 2024, David and Julia had a daughter, Stella.
David continues to release videos. Sometimes he talks about how much he loves his wife, sometimes he and his wife give a tour of their rented apartment, or simply shares his views on life. And by his example, he proves that you should never give up.
