Mansory built an exclusive Lamborghini for a Formula 1 driver (14 photos)
Mansory has unveiled the result of an unusual collaboration. Haas Formula One driver Esteban Ocon received a Lamborghini Revuelto tuned by the company, and Mansory was given the opportunity to advertise directly on the driver's helmet. The cost of the joint project, as usual, was not disclosed.
Mansory calls the Revuelto built for Ocon one-of-a-kind, although it is actually part of the Initiate program announced in December—the company's first foray into tuning Lamborghini superhybrids. The current example features a unique color scheme: in addition to unpainted "forged" carbon fiber parts, the bodywork features an unusual red gradient on a jet-black background. The supercar's interior has also been reupholstered in the same tones, but images of it have not yet been published.
The Initiate program involves replacing most of the Revuelto's body parts with custom carbon fiber equivalents. The supercar receives a more aggressive front bumper, a hood with an air intake, extended side skirts, a giant diffuser, and more. Mansory's design language also includes an abundance of flaps, winglets, and sharp edges. The supercar's wheels are being replaced with lightweight ones—21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear.
As part of the Initiate project, the studio is undertaking a slight increase in the powertrain's output. By upgrading the 6.5-liter V12, the tuners add 55 hp and 35 Nm to the supercar. It's claimed that the 1,070 hp Revuelto not only grips the road more firmly thanks to improved downforce, but also accelerates 0.1 seconds faster from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph)—the Mansory Initiate does it in 2.4 seconds. However, when announcing the collaboration, the company didn't specify whether the powertrain kit was used on Esteban Ocon's car.
