Creepy Pennywise is back: the new trailer for "It: Welcome to Derry"
HBO has released a trailer for "It: Welcome to Derry," a prequel to the original films. The series will take place in 1962, 27 years before the events of the first "It" film. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise.
The prequel to the films, based on Stephen King's novel, is set in 1962 in the town of Derry. The trailer features dialogue between children trying to understand how and why their friend disappeared. It also features Pennywise for the first time, along with several ominous scenes.
The nine-episode series premieres on October 26. It expands on the universe of director Andrés Muschietti's films, which have grossed a combined $1.17 billion worldwide.
In addition to Skarsgård, the series also stars Taylor Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Ryder, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso.
