At the online auction Bring a Trailer, a self-propelled coffin found a new owner for $28,750. The unusual homemade product is equipped with a V8 engine and automatic transmission. In addition, she has the right to drive on public roads. 
The device was built on Long Island (New York) in 2008–2010. The coffin, which acts as a body, is not real, it is made of fiberglass. The chassis is based on a steel frame and is made by hand. The driver's seat is located at the rear, with the differential located under the knees.
In the middle part of the car there is a carburetor Chevrolet Small Block V8 engine. It is mated to an automatic transmission. The flat fuel tank is placed forward and painted bronze so as not to stand out. There is also a “tombstone” installed at the front; the headlights and lanterns are stylized as medieval.
The most amazing thing is that the homemade product has the right to move on ordinary roads. It is registered in New York as a 1928 Ford and has a license plate. Along with the car, the new owner received a collection of fifty different awards received by the car at competitions and exhibitions.
