More than a hundred monkeys escaped from a shelter in Thailand and caused a riot
Animals escaped from the Pho Khao Ton Monkey Sanctuary in Muang District and caused a commotion in the surrounding area. They attacked nearby homes, smashed cars on the street, and attempted to break into a police station.
The primates caused panic among local residents as they roamed the streets, broke into homes, and caused chaos near the police station. Law enforcement officers had to fight off the animals when they attempted to rummage through parked cars.
The primates were scared off with firecrackers and slingshots and driven back into the sanctuary. Officials are currently investigating how the animals escaped. Workers have also begun repairing the damaged enclosures to prevent similar incidents.
