A Korean woman who let a dog lick her face was condemned on social networks
A member of a South Korean pop group, Kim Chaewon, has sparked controversy online after posting a video of her pet Pomeranian Shiro licking her mouth and lips.
The video shows Chaewon lying on her back while the dog vigorously licks her lips. The singer is seen petting the dog and pursing her lips. After the footage went viral on social media, viewers called it “disgusting.”
Commentators said the singer “went too far” in showing affection for her pet.
“This is not normal,” her followers wrote.
Researchers from Pennsylvania State University have warned that dogs may be “underestimated carriers” of zoonotic infections, including antibiotic-resistant salmonella. Scientists stressed that owners are advised not to kiss animals or allow them to lick their faces.
