An Australian faked his Mercedes as a Chinese police car: he faces trial (3 photos)
A case that is difficult for the average person to understand happened in Australia. A patrol near Sydney came across a Mercedes-Benz S-class that imitated a Chinese police car. During a search of the suspicious car, ammunition was found. The owner could not clearly explain what all this meant, and now he will appear in court.
The black sedan had inscriptions in hieroglyphs and Chinese Poilce (that's right, with a mistake in the last word). In addition, it had beacons installed. All this together could convince other people that this was a real police car. The law enforcement officers had a reasonable question: why was all this done?
The driver, who is only 21 years old, presented a document stating that the S-Class was used to transport employees of the Chinese consulate. The document turned out to be counterfeit. The police then conducted a search. In the trunk, they found a box of bullets, and several firearms at home.
The man was subsequently charged with numerous offenses. Including providing false or misleading information, driving a vehicle with illegal police markings, impersonating a public servant, and illegal possession of a firearm. He is awaiting trial while he is out on bail.
