Movies, movies, movies - I never cease to be amazed...

"Avatar: The Way of Water"

Soon after "Avatar", James Cameron began developing several sequels at once. The first thing he needed was to think through the scripts for "The Way of Water" and all the other films. However, the scale was so huge that he created several teams of screenwriters, among whom he divided all these films. True, Cameron did not tell them for several months which film each of them would get. Instead, they spent seven months developing the general script and each film in detail. And the reason James didn't tell the writers their movies from the start was because he suspected that the team behind The Path of Water wouldn't listen to a discussion about Fire and Ash and the other movies, the team behind Fire and Ash wouldn't listen to The Path of Water and the others, and the same goes for all the others.

Uncharted: Not in the Cards

Tom Holland, who stars in Uncharted: Not in the Cards, shared with fans that he felt like the movie was the most difficult stunt he's ever done, despite having starred in several Marvel movies. For example, Tom actually jumped on a hanging lamp and hung from a height of 30 meters, but in some scenes he still had a stunt double to help him. It is worth noting that at Marvel, stunt doubles and stuntmen had much more work, because actors sign very strict contracts that sometimes even limit their movements in everyday life.

"Thor: Ragnarok"

In "Thor: Ragnarok", as in all other films, Mark Ruffalo wore a wide foam suit, which was needed so that the actors would not get too close to him during the filming of scenes and would not walk right into the graphic textures of the Hulk in the film. Josh Brolin, who played Thanos, also wore a similar suit. At the same time, Josh also wore a high antenna above his head, at the top of which his colleagues had to look when talking to Thanos.

«Lulu & Briggs»

The production of the film «Lulu & Briggs» fell at the very time when the whole world began to wear masks and began to keep a distance of one and a half meters. It was then that the filming of many films was curtailed for an indefinite period. This also affected «Lulu & Briggs». However, this even played into the hands of the filmmakers, because Channing Tatum and three dog handlers trained the dogs who played Lulu in the film even better. Moreover, they became so close that the dog handlers took all the dogs home with them. So, one of them, Britta, who played in 80 percent of all the scenes of the film, began to live in Montana with her trainer.

"Star Wars. Episode I. The Phantom Menace"

When creating the original Star Wars trilogy, George Lucas had a limited budget, because he allocated almost only his own money for the filming and took a lot of risks, because he did not know for sure whether his work would pay off. Therefore, he had to rely as little as possible on expensive computer graphics and make do with practical effects and miniature models of various spaceships, planets and everything else. Out of habit, he pulled the same thing off years later in The Phantom Menace, when he had to create a grandstand with spectators who came to the races. In reality, the spectators were thousands of multi-colored cotton swabs.

"Batman"

Few people know, but "Batman" director Matt Reeves was a big fan of Robert Pattinson and wanted him to lead the cast as Batman long before filming began. However, Matt knew that Robert would most likely refuse, because after "Twilight" he began to take on only unpopular films that did not aim to be blockbusters and were pulled out only by their plots and acting. Ironically, Robert Pattinson, in turn, as soon as he learned about the search for an actor to play Bruce Wayne, was fired up by the idea and wanted to play the character, but thought he had little chance. Eventually, Matt and Robert did find out about each other's preferences, although Pattinson was still afraid that he would disappoint the director, so during the costume fitting, he took a photo of himself as a souvenir in case he lost the role and never wore the costume again.

"Avatar: The Way of Water"

James Cameron's fatherhood influenced not only him, but also the film "Avatar: The Way of Water". He decided to closely tie the plot development with parenthood, and in one of the interviews he explained what he meant. If in the first film Jake jumped from a huge height of many kilometers, hoping that he would be lucky, and almost the same thing was done by Neutri, then in the second film, feeling responsible for their children, they left their own home in search of a quieter life.

"Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Adventure"

"Apollo 10 1/2" is an animated film that was positively received by audiences and told the story of a fictional 10-year-old boy living in Houston in 1969. It is noteworthy that director Richard Linklater initially wanted to create a regular feature film, but soon decided that the flexibility of animation would allow him to express his ideas in a much better light.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. Part 3"

The third Guardians of the Galaxy not only became one of the best films in the superhero cinematic universe, but also broke one record - it is the film with the most makeup. It used 234 contact lenses, five hundred wigs and more than 22 thousand prosthetics that were glued to the actors' faces and the rest of their bodies. All this was applied to one thousand actors. However, it is interesting that Dave Bautista began to wear less makeup in this film than in previous ones, and this did not particularly please the audience, because they did not see Drax, but a blue Bautista.

«Venom 2»

At the beginning of the second hour of the film, in one of the scenes, you can see two helicopters flying by. They are very interesting in that their appearance is a simple coincidence. Not far from the set of «Venom 2» also took place the filming of the film «The Matrix: Resurrection», and these helicopters were filmed in the second film, but in the end ended up in both. Andy Serkis, who acted as director, decided that re-shooting the scene did not make any sense, so he subsequently wrote an explanation for these helicopters into the plot and did not even pay the creators of the fourth «Matrix» anything.

«War for the Planet of the Apes»

In the second half of the film, Caesar is doused with ice water in the camp, and he expresses the corresponding feelings, because it is already very cold outside. It is worth recalling that Caesar was played by Andy Serkis, who wore a motion capture suit, and everything that happened to Caesar happened to him, including being doused with water. However, Andy was doused with pre-heated water. Or rather, that is what those who poured it thought. In fact, the people responsible for the water forgot to heat it, and Andy, who was wearing a thin suit, was doused with ice water. But Serkis didn't criticize anyone for it. On the contrary, it was very convenient for him, because he didn't even have to play a little shock from cold water.

"Man of Steel"

Many actors who play superheroes or action heroes train under the supervision of trainers and take what allows them to build up huge muscle mass in a matter of months. However, Henry Cavill flatly refused the latter. He decided to work out without any help and wanted to bring his body to perfection for the fans who believed in him and, as he himself thought, wanted to see special commitment from him. And in many ways, he did this for two shirtless scenes. Especially for them, after long strength training, he cut his diet by a third for six weeks and achieved the pronounced muscle contours that Superman should have. Immediately after these two scenes were filmed, Zack Snyder gave Cavill a bag of ice cream and a pizza so that he would finally eat his fill.

"Avengers: Endgame"

"Avengers: Endgame" was filmed in much the same way as Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" - filming of "Endgame" took place simultaneously with "Infinity War", which allowed the studio to release its biggest film just a year after the premiere of the previous one. Despite being filmed at the same time, their budgets differ by almost 100 million: Endgame cost 400 million, and Infinity War - 316 million. These are two of the biggest films of their time. Infinity War is second only to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which required 379 million.

"Rampage"

At the end of the film, George plays a prank on Davis, convincing the main character that he has just lost his best friend. Interestingly, this ending, but without the prank, was the first one the scriptwriters had. They wrote in George's sacrifice, which the film ended with, and the need for Davis to move on. However, Dwayne Johnson gave an ultimatum: he did not want viewers to go to his film and experience negative emotions after watching it, so Dwayne pushed through the happy ending
