Boy became an Internet star by dancing on the bow of a boat during a race
An 11-year-old Indonesian boy, Ryan Arkan Daha, became an internet sensation when he showed off his dancing skills during a rowboat race.
Ryan's moves have become a symbol of what is known as "aura farming" - an internet term that means creating or radiating a natural, effortless "coolness", charisma or positive energy that attracts attention and admiration. Despite his young age, the boy grew up in a family where his father and uncle are professional athletes and participated in the traditional Pacu Jalur boat race.
He admits that he taught himself to dance by watching others and gaining experience. Ryan also said that the dance that made him famous online was his own creation, and all the moves were a moment of "inspiration".
After the boy's talent became famous, he was appointed a cultural ambassador for the province of Riau. Subsequently, the Indonesian met with the ministers of culture and tourism in the capital Jakarta, and also appeared on national television with his mother.
