A giant protective dome was inflated at a construction site in the Chinese city of Jinan to prevent dust from flying around and disturbing locals with noise. The 50-meter-high shell covers an area of about 20,000 m2. It is made of elastic and fire-resistant polyvinylidene fluoride, which muffles sounds by 80%, and powerful fans with a humidification system are installed inside, providing fresh air circulation for workers.
