A collection of 20 unique McLarens was put up for sale (17 photos)
An unusual selection of McLaren supercars has gone on sale — 20 cars of different models, each of which is the last production model. Accordingly, the collection is called the Last of Legends. According to the dealer who was entrusted with the sale of the collection, it belonged to one of McLaren's largest shareholders and former chairman of the board of directors Mansour Ojei, who died in 2021.
French businessman of Saudi origin Mansour Ojei is believed to have been behind a number of McLaren Racing's motorsport successes and contributed to the transformation of the sports team into a full-fledged manufacturer of road cars. For example, the famous McLaren F1 was developed with his participation.
The last production F1 became the first car in Ojay's new collection, who had previously been into Ferrari. At his request, the car was painted in an unusual color, Yquem, later renamed Mansour Orange and assigned exclusively to Mansour. All subsequent cars sent to the collection were painted with this color.
It is noteworthy that, as the dealer notes, the owner of the supercars hardly used his cars. All of them have zero mileage, with the exception of the F1 itself, which traveled 1,810 km, and the P1 GTR, which Ojay occasionally drove to the race track. McLaren itself serviced the collector's fleet: it is claimed that no other collector has received such a privilege.
The dealer does not specify how much the collection of exclusive McLarens is valued at.
