The German company Franzis has presented an unusual construction kit for self-assembly. This is a large-scale copy of the Porsche 911 Turbo (930) engine, the famous turbocharged engine for road cars of the German brand. The construction kit includes 250 parts, was designed according to original archive drawings and has a transparent case.

When assembled, the engine can demonstrate the principles of its operation: thanks to the transparent case, you can see how the pistons, valves and other parts of the mechanism move. The spark plugs are equipped with LEDs that light up at the right moment. The construction kit is equipped with a sound module that connects to external speakers and synthesizes realistic engine sounds.

The company particularly emphasizes that the assembly process does not require any gluing or painting. According to the developers' calculations, it will take from three to four hours. In its finished form, the model, approximately 35x30x30 centimeters in size, can be installed on a pedestal. In addition, the unit comes with a booklet describing the history of the development of this engine and historical photographs and illustrations from the Porsche archives.
