An iconic Hanoi landmark has once again captured the public's attention after a man was nearly crushed by a train. He was standing in a crowd that filled a narrow street in the Vietnamese capital, where trains whistle past houses and cafes.

In the footage, a tourist walked right up to the carriages and leaned in with his phone to capture the scene. In the chaos, a small table ended up in the train's path. A woman taking a selfie in the foreground suddenly stopped smiling and screamed as she realized what was happening.

Hanoi's Railway Street is a magnet for thrill-seekers, but accidents have restricted access in recent years.

Vietnamese newspaper VnExpress reported that the man suffered minor injuries. Following the incident, Hang Bong County authorities ordered increased security measures in the old quarter. Tour operators were banned from including the street in their routes, but people still come to see the trains and visit local cafes.

On June 21, another tourist got into an unpleasant situation, but this time in Italy, and it was not he who suffered. In the famous Uffizi Gallery, a visitor, wanting to take a photo, fell on a portrait of Ferdinando de' Medici, painted by Anton Domenico Gabbiani in 1712. A hole the size of a fist appeared on the canvas. Now the painting is hidden from visitors, it is being restored.
