The Renovation Was Going According to Plan Until a Spouse Found a Fox in Their Kitchen
A couple doing a major renovation of an old house in the UK couldn't have imagined that their new "tenant" would be a wild fox, who had made himself comfortable right on the kitchen countertop.
The couple bought the house at auction and did the renovation themselves, from fixing leaks to installing plumbing and electrics. Over six months, they invested about $12,800. According to Hamilton, despite all the difficulties, the fox was perhaps the most charming surprise.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) noted that such cases are rare, but possible: doors may be left open during the work, and some wild animals are bold enough to look inside. The RSPCA advises staying calm and giving the animal a clear path to exit. If the fox does not leave or appears injured, you should contact a professional rescuer.
