A German guy known to his TikTok users as @moe.ha conducted an interesting experiment that showed the surprising side of the life of old things. He wanted to figure out where the things that Germans donate to the Red Cross disappear to.
To track the path of the donated items, he attached a special Apple AirTag GPS tracker to a pair of his old sneakers and left it in a Red Cross container in Munich. For the next five days, he carefully monitored the movement of his stash.
A week later, he discovered that his sneakers had traveled almost eight hundred kilometers and ended up... in an ordinary stall in the small town of Cazin, located in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Stunned by this turn of events, the guy personally went there and found his old shoes for sale for only ten euros. The saleswoman did not deny it and said that all the goods were delivered directly from Germany, and the owner of the business lives there permanently and regularly supplies such things.

Germans are now debating what they saw: some are happy that such a scheme helps residents of poor regions acquire clothes at affordable prices, while others are outraged by the lack of transparency in the process of processing donations.
