The most cheeky ones also manage to shit everywhere.

Google's ultra-modern office under construction in central London has encountered a serious problem.

The new £1 billion headquarters has been attacked by foxes who have taken a liking to the roof garden of the landscaped complex in King's Cross. The furry invaders dig holes in the well-kept territory, occasionally sneak onto the floors and leave funny "presents" there.

The company admitted that it had been struggling to control the predators for three years. Mosh Latifi, co-director of London-based pest control company EcoCare, said that they may be living off rats.

"Foxes are great at feeding on rodents, and we have plenty of them," he said, adding that he had also seen foxes prowling around construction sites looking for food left by workers.

A Google spokesperson said: "Fox sightings on construction sites are fairly common, and our King's Cross project is no exception."

The 300-metre rooftop garden runs the length of the buildings and covers floors seven to 11. It also features a jogging track, swimming pool, fitness area, as well as dining areas and sun loungers. The garden was designed to be home to birds, bats, butterflies and bees. Now it's home to foxes.
