Ukrainian drones attack battery plant in Yelets, Lipetsk region, Russia
On the night of May 23, unknown drones attacked the Lipetsk region. The plant producing chemical power sources "Energia" in Yelets was hit. As reported by Censor.NET, this was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
Local residents in city chats report that they heard more than 10 explosions.
Lipetsk Region Governor Igor Artamonov reported that debris fell in the industrial zone, causing a fire. He later said that eight people were injured as a result of the "drone crash in the industrial zone" in the city of Yelets.
Local residents write in social media groups about several "arrivals" of drones at the "Energia" plant, a manufacturer of batteries and accumulators.
The governor reports that debris from another drone fell on the roof of a residential building.
"The residents were quickly evacuated, there are no casualties. The building was not destroyed. Bomb disposal experts and emergency services are working on the site," the governor assures and reports that in Yelets "electronic warfare and air defense systems continue to operate."

The main consumers of the products are: Roscosmos, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gazprom, airlines, Russian Railways, enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Railways and communications.
The products also include "rotating" power sources intended for the needs of the Ministry of Defense, used to guide artillery shells to their targets.
The company is under sanctions from the EU, the USA and Japan.
