The candidate must have a keen sense of smell and be able to distinguish aromas, such as "noticing notes of tuna."
New York-based pet food brand Spot & Tango has posted an ad for an intern to evaluate dog mouth odor, the New York Post reports.
The employer promises the worker that for $25 an hour, he will get an unforgettable experience and "unlimited puppy kisses." "Help us make New York smell better by sniffing one dog at a time," the ad says.
The job description also provides requirements for applicants. For example, the future intern must have a keen sense of smell, get along with dogs, and recognize scents: "You must be able to conduct a breath test and distinguish specific scents (hint of tuna, sewer water)." The intern will also need to be prepared to conduct "breath tests around dog parks," and veterinary experience will be an advantage when applying for the position.
