In Thailand, a woman caught a cobra that had attacked her with her hands and took it to the hospital
A woman named Supin Wanphen unexpectedly encountered a huge king cobra, about 3-4 meters long, while picking mushrooms with her relatives. The reptile immediately attacked her, and the woman began to fight off the snake with her legs. After several blows, she managed to pin the cobra to the ground and grab it, but at the last moment it managed to inflict a deep bite on the Thai woman’s left leg.
Relatives helped finish off the snake and immediately organized the transportation of the victim to the hospital directly with the cobra. The journey took two and a half hours, but thanks to the prompt actions of her relatives, Supin managed to receive a vital dose of antidote. Doctors recorded extensive wounds on the knee and shin, but the woman’s condition was stabilized.
Supin herself believes that she survived thanks to her composure and decisive actions. She tightly bandaged her bitten leg to slow the spread of the poison and fought for her life until the very end.
“At that moment, I was thinking only about my children and I understood that if I didn’t fight, there would be no chance,” recalls Vanphen.
An important role was also played by the fact that her relatives brought the snake to the hospital, which helped doctors quickly select the right antidote.
