A devoted dog waited a whole month for the owners who abandoned her (6 photos)

They moved to a new place and left the animal on the porch of an empty house.





A dog abandoned by its owners was rescued in the US. The animal had been wandering around an empty house for several days, hoping that its family would soon return. However, the owners, as it turned out, moved to a new place and left their pet alone.



The black and white dog was noticed by neighbors. They started feeding it, and later posted a photo of the pet on Facebook. It was spotted by Taylor Bullock, the head of Happy Tails Animal Rescue. She told The Dodo that she spent hours refreshing her Facebook page to see if anyone had claimed the dog.





The situation, according to Bullock, did not change during the day. She decided to come to the house herself. On the porch, she found a dog that looked exactly like the pictures. “She was crying and trying to sit on my lap while I was sitting with her on the porch,” Bullock recalls.



The woman asked neighbors and found out that the dog's owners had moved out of the house about a month ago - the pet had been waiting for them all this time. According to Bullock, the animal approached the front door "again and again", hoping that someone would open it from the inside.



Bullock decided to take the dog home, she named her Rain. At first, the pet could not calm down, breathed heavily and refused to eat. Over time, Rain has gotten used to it a bit — and has been living in her rescuer’s home for a few weeks now. According to Bullock, the dog still struggles with anxiety and probably misses her old owners. However, Rain is ready to find a new family that will appreciate her loyalty.
