A British startup has unveiled the world's first wireless bionic hand that can operate without the owner's prosthetic.

Bristol-based Open Bionics has spent four years developing its latest bionic hand, Hero, which it says is the world's most advanced robotic limb. The device uses wireless EMG electrodes called MyoPods, which sit on the amputee's upper arm and read signals from their muscles. These signals are then used to control the movement of the bionic fingers.
